"RAYNARD GIBSON - R&B Soul Recording Artist"

R&B Soul with a little seasoning of gospel is one way to describe Raynard Gibson’s voice.  Growing up in Baltimore, Maryland surrounded by music, singing came quite naturally to Raynard at an early age.  Listening to the likes of Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway and Michael Jackson helped to shape Raynard’s love of music, singing and eventually, his sound.  At the age of 19, Raynard moved to Atlanta, Georgia to continue to pursue his dream of entertaining.  While in Atlanta, he filmed several television commercials and voiceovers and produced for local up and coming artists. But, Raynard knew there had to be more.   So, in January of 2011, Raynard heard a commercial that would change his life forever.  “If you think you have what it takes to be a singer, send your audition to “The Steve Harvey Morning Show New Star Project for an opportunity to win $10,000 in the State Farm Singing Your Way To The Hoodie Awards” he heard the announcer say.  He decided at that moment that he would follow his heart and submit his audition.  Out of thousands of people, Raynard was selected as a contestant and became one of four finalists.  Raynard was crowned the “2011 State Farm Singing Your Way To The Hoodies” champion and he

knew from that moment, he was being propelled into his destiny.

Raynard has shared the stage with likes of Faith Evans, Frankie Beverly and Maze,

The O ‘Jays, Anthony Hamilton, Eric Benet, and Bell Biv Devoe
